Jim Munn RN, MS, is a graduate of the University of Michigan and has been a program and nurse coordinator at the University of Michigan's Hemophilia Treatment Center since 1996. He has been involved in several nursing positions in this field most notably as the current chair of the WFH Nurses Committee and treasurer of the ISTH Nursing Forum, as well as the past chair of the NHF Nursing Working Group. He has lectured at numerous state, regional, national and international conferences in the area of hemophilia and coagulation disorders.  He also has authored several articles, manuscripts and book chapters in this same area of expertise.

Ms. Geraghty has an Associate of Arts degree in nursing from Lander College in 1977, a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1980 from University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Masters in Business (MBA) from University of Colorado Denver in 1990. She worked as Nurse Coordinator at the University of Colorado Denver Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center for 25 years where she retired in2013. Currently she is working as an independent consultant in the areas of hemophilia and health care education. Prior to working at the HTC, Ms. Geraghty worked in orthopaedics where she was initially introduced to patients with hemophilia. She is certified as an Orthopaedic Nurse Clinician through the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses where she is still an active member. During her time as nurse coordinator at the Hemophilia Treatment Center, she has sat on a number of national committees including the Nursing working Group for the National Hemophilia Foundation. She has spoken locally, nationally and internationally and has been published in many peer reviewed journals. Her areas of interest within the hemophilia community include the adult patient with bleeding disorders, patients with inhibitors and orthopaedic issues.
1. Identify the normal coagulation process and the defect in patients with hemophilia.
2. Review diagnosis of hemophilia.
3. Discuss the signs, symptoms and treatment of various types of bleeding seen in hemophilia.
4. Describe the advantages of supportive therapy and comprehensive hemophilia care.
